Mission Statement

Our Clubhouse strives to assist members in achieving the highest possible level of independence in their daily lives. We are committed to providing social, vocational and wellness activities as well as skill building, educational supports and leadership opportunities to our members. The Clubhouse has a Forge Ahead Spirit to help our members focus on their individual strengths, talents, abilities and potential, which they can use on their path to recovery. Our Clubhouse offers members a reason to get out of the house, socialize, have purpose and be part of our community. Clubhouse activities are designed to provide structure and to enhance confidence and self-esteem. We ask that members participate in the work-ordered day. Our members are wanted, needed and appreciated!

Our motto is: FORGE AHEAD CLUBHOUSE…IT’S NOT JUST A NAME, BUT AN ATTITUDE.

Employment Assistance

Forge Ahead Clubhouse partners with a variety of local employers who offer a path from transitional to permanent employment. Transitional placement lasts 6-9 months and is helpful for people who may have not worked in a long time and need more hands-on support to get back into the workforce. We also help members find employers, build resumes, complete applications and participate in mock interviews for independent employment.

Educational Assistance

Education ensures that Clubhouses offer members effective opportunities to complete their education. The Clubhouse assists members to reach their vocational and educational goals by helping them take advantage of educational opportunities in the community. When the Clubhouse also provides an in-house education program, it significantly utilizes the teaching and tutoring skills of members.

Social Activities

We offer social recreational activities one evening a week and one weekend day a month. Activities may include going shopping, out to eat, game night, cooking class, craft night, movie night, and more. We’re open for all major cultural holidays. We also have daily activities and occasional events during the work ordered day.
