Bob Goulet, M.D., joined Community Breast Care in 2011. Dr. Goulet is a board certified general surgeon, specializing in breast disease and breast surgical oncology. He is an MD Anderson Cancer Network® certified physician at Community. He has a long and distinguished career in medicine and has lectured and published extensively on breast cancer.
Originally from New York, Dr. Goulet has lived in Indiana since 1986 and considers himself a Hoosier. He received his medical degree from The State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center, Brooklyn, NY, and completed his residency and fellowship at SUNY Downstate as well.
Dr. Goulet is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Breast Surgeons, the Hoosier Oncology Group, the American College of Surgeons, and the National Consortium of Breast Centers.
He is actively involved in the community working with Young Survival Coalition, the Cancer Community, the Little Red Door Cancer Agency, the American Cancer Society, and the Sisters Network. Dr. Goulet is ranked in the top 1% in his field according to US News and World Report and was named to the 2011 Indianapolis Monthly's "Top Doctors" list for surgery. He was recognized by the Indiana Cancer Consortium with the "Outstanding Contribution to Cancer Control Award" for 2012. He was also named a Sagamore of the Wabash honoree, the state of Indiana’s highest award for service, by Governor Joseph E. Kernan.
Dr. Goulet lives in Indianapolis with his wife, Barbara, and their dogs. He enjoys spending time with his children and grandchildren.
