The emergency department also provides Joint Commission recognized stroke care, neurosurgical and cardiac care to those in emergent situations.

Take Me to Community

Community Anderson's Emergency Department is the only one in Madison County staffed by residency-trained board-certified emergency physicians. Registered nurses are certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC). Working together, these physicians and nurses have the necessary training and experience to offer the highest quality of emergency care.

Located at the north end of the hospital, the spacious ED has private rooms with TVs and telephones, in addition to a two-bed trauma room. Continuous cardiac and pulse oximetry monitoring from a central station is available, along with radiology services located within the department. Computerized documentation and real time imaging to view X-rays are used in each patient room.

Critical Care Transport

Community Hospital Anderson has formed a partnership with LifeLine Helicopter and Riley Transport Services - Indiana's first and most experienced critical care transport service. This will enable physicians to expedite transfer of critical patients to a tertiary care facility if necessary.
