Community Health Network will support area athletes during the NFL Combine; Community's sports medicine team will work with local college players

Indianapolis, IN---Community Health Network’s sports medicine team is providing services for athletes training at the Church of Iron Sports Performance Center for the NFL Combine, February 22-28, in Indianapolis. The NFL Combine is the annual skills testing event, featuring the best college football players in the nation, who are invited to participate by the NFL. Community’s team is working with:

Community’s team features Frank Wilson, M.D., an orthopedic surgeon, who serves as medical director for Community’s sports medicine program; a certified strength and conditioning athletic trainer; and a registered dietitian. The athletes-in-training are from area colleges. They will utilize athletic training services during and after intensive workout sessions for stretching, strength exercises, nutritional counseling and yoga instruction. Physician and physical therapy services are also available to the athletes, as needed.

“We’re excited to partner with Community’s sports medicine staff,” said Kiel Holman, CSCS, USAW, CrossFitL1, executive director of Church of Iron. “It is a real benefit to the athletes to have access to the network’s expertise and staff, available at our performance center for onsite care during and immediately following strenuous workouts.”
