Community Hospital South offers patient-centered healthcare to the residents of south Indianapolis, including Johnson County. Our care is coordinated and focused on quality, ranging from everyday, ordinary care to treatment for your most critical needs.

The Community South campus is home to Community Hospital South, Community MD Anderson Cancer Center - South and Community Surgery Center South. Community South is at the forefront of lowering and containing costs, improving quality and increasing access to healthcare in order to deliver an exceptional patient care experience. The south campus is located just off State Road 31 South and County Line road – serving the south side of the Indianapolis, Johnson County and the surrounding counties. Visitor Guidelines

Community’s highest priority remains delivering quality care in the safest possible environment through the pandemic. Our visitation policies reflect the best evidence-based information available, and we’re confident in our safety protocols and our ability to keep patients, visitors and caregivers safe.

Visitor Registration

Visitor registration is required for guests who plan to visit acute care areas. Please be prepared to show photo ID at the registration desk when you arrive.

Visiting Hours

Hospital visiting hours are 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. Hours may vary for specific units or areas of care.

Parking

Parking for emergency and cardiac/cath lab patients is available in front of the emergency room. Additional parking is available behind the hospital building adjacent to Community Surgery Center.

Free valet and shuttle service is available and there is no charge for parking. Valet is available Monday - Friday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Parking lots are maintained and monitored by Community Health Network public safety personnel.

ATM

An ATM is located in the main lobby next to the elevators.

Hotels

Wireless Internet

Community Hospital South offers free wireless internet access to patients, families and visitors.

Cell Phone Policy

Cell phones are allowed except in patient treatment areas as their signal could interfere with medical equipment in use.

No Smoking

The hospital and the entire Community Hospital South campus are tobacco-free environments.

Smoking has been shown not only to compromise the health of those who smoke, but others who come into contact with the smoke. Therefore, in keeping with our mission to promote the health, wellness and comfort of our patients and employees, smoking is not permitted.

Located on the first floor of the hospital.

Hours: Monday through Friday 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., 11 p.m. to 1 a.m.; Sat/Sun 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.

  • Breakfast: 6:30 to 8:30 a.m.
  • Lunch: 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
  • Dinner: 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

In addition to the cafeteria, there is an assortment of vending machines and nearby restaurants. If you would like to eat outside, ask a staff member for directions to find an outside location.

Shopping

Community gift cards are accepted at all Community Health Network retail locations.

Jasmine Gift Shop - Located on the first floor of the hospital, Jasmine offers flowers and other gifts for patients, as well as magazines, snacks and personal care products.

FigLeaf - Oh Baby is a women’s health and specialty boutique providing services and products to new and expectant mothers. Stop by FigLeaf for all your nursing and infants needs and to be professionally fit for nursing bras.
