During the birth of your baby, you will be in one of our eight labor/delivery/recovery rooms, designed to be as comfortable and as homelike as possible. Each LDR room has a private bathroom and is furnished for the convenience of you and your family.
The Maternal & Child Health Unit also features 16 private postpartum rooms, the perfect setting for you and your baby to get acquainted before going home. Each room has a warm decor to make you and your family feel comfortable in your surroundings.
Cesarean operating room
Our Maternal & Child Health Unit features a Cesarean operating room suite. If a C-section is required, the unit is equipped with the advanced technology that enables us to provide quality obstetric care.
Special care nursery
The Maternal & Child Health Unit also features a six-bed special care nursery should your baby require it. Staffed by nurses who specialize in neonatology, this nursery assures your baby will receive the care he or she needs.
Hugs & KISSES
The HUGS & KISSES security system provides advanced computerized security for you and your baby. HUGS is an identification anklet which fits around your baby's ankle. This lets our nurses know where your baby is at all times. KISSES is a corresponding bracelet you will wear during your stay. When your baby comes within 18 inches, the bracelet responds with a soft refrain from Brahms' Lullaby. Should a baby other than yours be brought to you, a buzzing sound indicates this incorrect match.
