Sleep Disorders Center

Sleep Disorders CenterInsomnia, sleep apnea, snoring and other sleep-related disorders affect more than your sleep at night. They can affect your days, threatening both your physical and emotional well-being. Sleep disorders are frustrating, as they leave a person tired and functioning poorly.

If left untreated, sleep disorders might increase a person’s chance of incurring other medical problems, such as high blood pressure, heart attacks, heart failure or stroke.

A night in the Sleep Center

If you are scheduled for a night test, you will receive a packet confirming your appointment with specific instructions on how to prepare for a night in the sleep center. Our staff will handle pre-registration and insurance pre-certification in advance of your arrival. Usually, you’ll check in around 8 p.m.

Depending on your sleep schedule, you may go to bed around 10 p.m. and sleep until awakened by a staff member around 6 a.m. Several monitors will be attached to you during the night and will record information while you sleep.

Sleep Clinics

We also offer a sleep clinic once a week for patients with diagnosed or suspected sleep disorders. If you are experiencing sleep disorders, contact your primary care physician.
