Community Health Network hosts town hall on health care reformDecember 31, 2008—Community Health Network, one of the state’s leading health care systems, hosted a community town hall meeting on health care reform on Tuesday, December 30, at Community Hospital East in Indianapolis. The event answered the call by the incoming presidential administration for community health care discussions, from which ideas can ultimately be turned into final health care policy recommendations for the country. Beginning January 1st, these integrated services will be called Community Heart and Vascular to reflect the comprehensive cardiovascular services offered, including hospital, ambulatory and physician sites of care. "We strongly believe that integrating hospital and physician care more closely will benefit patients," said Tom Malasto, current CEO of The Indiana Heart Hospital and CEO of Community Heart and Vascular.
